Bollinger Builds Unique US RoRo to Transport Rockets for ULA to Launch Site
The U.S. merchant marine is going to get its second “rocket ship,” literally a vessel specially designed to transport rockets from the manufacturing facility to the launch pad. United Launch Alliance (ULA), a company headquartered in Colorado that provides launch services, contracted with Bollinger Shipyards in Lockport, Louisiana, and Bristol Harbor Group in Bristol, Rhode Island, to design, oversee, and build the new ship.
